A propane delivery truck fire at the intersection of Station Road and Route 7 earlier this morning, Dec. 24, closed Route 7 between Ridgefield Road and Pimpewaug Road. Police reported the closure around 9 a.m.
The entrance to Station Road will be blocked for an extended period of time and access to the Wilton Railroad Station and Wilton Commons, 10 Station Road, will be detoured, according to Wilton police.
To enter and exit the area, motorists will need to use the south entrance to the Railroad Station, just south of Ridgefield Road (Route 33).
Police say the detour is expected to last approximately five hours and ask motorists to be mindful of the roadway restrictions on Danbury Road (Route 7) near Station Road.
