Raissa Katona Bennett
Vocalist Raissa Katona Bennett will entertain with popular standards and Broadway tunes at the weekly Wilton Kiwanis Club meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at WEPCO on New Canaan Road.
Accompanied by singer and pianist Kenneth Gartman, Ms. Bennett will give Kiwanians a taste of her show, “What a Wonderful World,” that she has made her sought after by New York clubs, including The Cabaret Convention at Lincoln Center, 54 Below, The Iridium, The Supper Club, The Rainbow Room, The Oak Room at the Algonquin and Radio City Music Hall.
Ms. Bennett has appeared in the role of Christine Daae in Phantom of the Opera on Broadway and has toured in productions of Cats and Parade. Mr. Gartman performed in the national tour of The Music Man and has performed in London and throughout Ireland.
Wilton’s oldest service club, Kiwanis meets weekly for lunch beginning at noon. Meetings feature a social hour, catered lunch, and then a speaker of local interest.
