John Peter Settino, 68, of Wilton, CT, beloved husband of Susan King Settino, died Saturday after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He cherished a rich life filled with the love of a nurturing family and wonderful friends.
Born in Bronx, N.Y., September 12, 1946, son of the late Peter Anthony and Mary Barile Settino, John was a Wilton resident for 26 years. He grew up in Hartsdale, N.Y. and graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, N.Y., where he played baseball and football. He continued his education at Iona College, where he played football and later earned an MBA. He served in the New York State National Guard. John retired from IBM where he spent the majority of his career in sales and marketing management.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 16, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 17, 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 229 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Ridgefield Road (Rte. 33), Wilton, CT.
