Race4Chase was developed to remember the life and spirit of enthusiastic young triathlete Chase Kowalski through the achievements and experiences of other children in the sport.

This summer, Riverbrook Regional YMCA will participate in the Race 4 Chase Youth Triathlon program and invites children 6 to 12 years old to participate.

This free program runs for six weeks beginning Monday, June 27, through  Saturday, Aug. 6. Training will take place at Silvermine Elementary School from 8:30 to noon, Monday through Friday. There will be daily field trips to the Wilton Family YMCA and other locations for training.  An extended-care option at Norwalk YMCA Camp Sunrise is available.

Race day is the culmination of the program for the eight YMCA Race 4 Chase programs at YMCA Camp Sloper in Southington on Aug. 6, when all  participants will compete in a youth triathlon.

Registration applications are at the Wilton Y and online at wiltonymca.org.  The application deadline is April 29.

Information: email Mary Ann Genuario at magenuario@riverbrookymca.org or call 203-762-8384, ext. 282.
