Woodcock Nature Center announces February programs for both children and adults to enjoy what winter has to offer.

Children can explore the winter landscape during Woodcock’s Winter Break Enrichment program. They will learn about the world around them through hands-on activities, animal presentations, hikes, and crafts. Each day will focus on a specific nature-related topic, such as Winter Pond Study, Animal Homes, or Tracking.

Programs run from 9 to noon each day with one group for age 4 through first grade on Friday, Feb. 12, and groups for 3-4 years old and 5 to 7 on Monday, Feb. 15, and Tuesday, Feb. 16.

The cost is $40 per day for members, $50 per day for non-members. Register online for any or all days at woodcocknaturecenter. org. Registration for each day closes at 1 p.m. the business day prior.

Adults can create an easyto- care-for terrarium and enjoy soothing teas donated by tea shop Cucumber & Chamomile of Ridgefield during the Tea & Terrariums program on Sunday, Feb. 21, from 2:30 to 4:30.

Pre-registration is required and closes at noon on Friday, Feb. 19. The cost for this program is $42 per person (non-refundable) and includes the terrarium vessel, basic materials including one succulent, instruction, as well as hot tea and some tasty sweets.
