An accident occurred at the intersection of Danbury Road and School Street on Jan. 14 around 5:30 when a Bethel woman attempting to make a left turn from Danbury Road onto School Street cut off and collided with a car carrying a woman and her two young children.
The at-fault woman was driving her 2015 Subaru Outback south down Danbury Road. When she began turning onto School Street, she did not notice a 1998 Nissan Altima approaching the intersection from the opposite direction, police said.
The Nissan struck the Outback’s rear passenger side, and its three occupants — a 23-year-old woman and her 6- and 1-year-old children — were, upon request, checked for injuries by Wilton EMS. None were taken to Norwalk Hospital.
The driver of the Outback was cited for improper turn.
