A resident picking her child up from the Goddard School at 385 Danbury Road around 5:30 on Jan. 11 left her car for five minutes and returned to find one of its windows broken and items missing from its interior.
According to police, the 2013 Volkswagen Touareg was locked and turned off at the time the incident is suspected to have occurred.
Via some “unknown method,” the front passenger window was forcefully broken. A purse containing two cell phones, a wallet, and a “small amount” of cash was lifted.
Police estimate the properties lost to be worth $1,300 collectively. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Wilton Police Department at 203-834-6260.
