The Green Teens and their advisers and helpers worked on the Neighborhood Garden at Trackside this spring.
To the Editors:
This spring, Wilton Youth Services, the Wilton Garden Club and Trackside Teen Center launched a new gardening program for teens. Led by experienced gardeners from the Wilton Garden Club, youth met weekly to design vegetable garden beds, plant, maintain, harvest as well as learn how to cook with the kinds of produce being grown in their gardens. The garden beds are now full with a variety of vegetable and flower plants — thanks to the dedication and hard work of these youth. All produce and flowers grown in the gardens will be donated to the Wilton Interfaith Food Pantry.
