The Red Barn restaurant, just minutes from the Wilton border, has closed.
A popular landmark restaurant has shuts its barn doors for good.
The Red Barn, which was restored in 1983 by the Nistico family and had been in operation for more than 50 years, has closed.
It was noted for its American cuisine, and was the site of many events and gatherings, and was popular among Wilton organizations.
Located at 292 Wilton Road in Westport, at the edge of an entrance to the Merritt Parkway, The Red Barn stood out boldly with its rustic charm, country style, and expansive gardens.
A message on The Red Barn’s website reads simply:
“The Red Barn has officially closed. Thank you for your many years of patronage and support. From the Nistico family!”
