The Wilton Chamber of Commerce and Wilton Family YMCA will begin the annual Georgetown day Sunday, June 14, at 11, with the Georgetown Gallop 5K and the Kids’ Pony Run.
The 5K, which will run along Old Mill Road, is a 3.1-mile timed race. The terrain is mostly flat.
Participants may check in starting at 10:15 at the corner of Routes 57 and 107. The race will begin promptly at 11 on Old Mill Road and will be followed by the kids’ fun run.
The Georgetown Day Festival is set to start after the races from noon until 7, rain or shine. Booths from more than 75 vendors will be set up along Main Street, selling clothing, jewelry, and more.
Entertainment will include live music, a chili cook-off, a dunking booth, refreshments, and children’s activities.
