Despite a career-best 25 points from Scott Shouvlin, the Trumbull High boys basketball team handed Wilton its first loss of the season Friday night in Trumbull.
The Golden Eagles outscored Wilton, 18-9, in the opening period and went on to an 83-74 victory.
Shouvlin hit six three-pointers and sank all five of his free throws to lead the Warriors, who are now 5-1 this season.
Richie Williams added 17 points and Matt Shifrin had 16 points for Wilton, which trailed 27-19 at halftime and 50-38 after three quarters.
Eddie McElroy paced Trumbull (3-2) with 23 points.
