An exploration of Wilton’s parks is planned as a joint venture between the Wilton Garden Club’s Conservation Committee and the Wilton Conservation Commission. There will be one guided walk each month during good weather. Most will take place on the third Sunday of the month at 1.

The first walk is Sunday, Oct. 19, at Schenck’s Island. Dean Keister, vice president of Trout Unlimited, will lead the approximately one-hour walk, answering questions, offering facts about the park and its recreational use for fishing, and pointing out ways the park has been maintained to address invasive species.

The second walk is set for Sunday, Nov. 23.

The walks are free, but registration is encouraged. If the weather is inclement, registrants will be called regarding a postponement. To register, call Jackie Algon at 203-210-5240.
