Former Wilton High standout Kat Vincent was named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for women’s lacrosse for the week of April 11-17.
The junior attacker scored seven goals and handed out three assists in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen. She scored five times on six shots with three assists in a 13-8 win at Dickinson on April 17, as she factored in eight of the team’s 13 goals in the victory — which improved Washington’s record to 8-5.
On April 13, she also tallied twice in a 14-2 win over Bryn Mawr.
Through 13 games, Vincent leads her team with 35 goals and 53 points. She is third in the conference in points and tied for second in goals.
A 2013 WHS graduate, she helped the Warriors reach the Class M state championship game in 2012 and 2013, earning first-team all-state and second-team all-FCIAC honors as a senior.
As a sophomore at Washington College last year, Vincent was averaging nearly 3.5 points per game and almost two draws per game before going down to a season-ending injury after the team’s seventh game. She finished the season with 19 goals and five assists.
As a freshman, she was second on the team in draw controls (44) and third in goals (32).
