On April 18, police arrested Sean R. Gannon, 50, of 14 Old Hayrake Road in Danbury for DUI, and then found suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his car.
Gannon was seen driving his 1999 Buick LeSabre north on Danbury Road towards Old Mill Road around 2 a.m. One of the car’s headlamps was out and it was travelling at a speed of 53 mph in a posted 40 mph zone, police said.
Police stopped the vehicle and smelled alcohol on Gannon’s breath, they said. Gannon failed a field sobriety test, but passed breath testing. His blood alcohol concentration was 0.048. The legal limit is 0.08.
He was subjected to urine testing also, police said.
A subsequent inventory of Gannon’s Buick yielded a small amount of suspected marijuana and an herb grinder.
Gannon was issued a misdemeanor summons for DUI, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, traveling unreasonably fast, improper number of headlights, possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released on a promise to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on April 18.
