Low-flying helicopters may be seen in the skies over Wilton through April 8. They are part of the Eversource fleet that surveys vegetation growing near its high-voltage transmission lines.
The work involves using two helicopters to cover more than 800 miles of transmission rights-of-way in Connecticut.
All flights are weather permitting and will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. No flights are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 2 and 3. The helicopters assigned to this project are blue and gray with a registration number N1431W, and blue and white with a registration number N411DD.
Wilton is just one of approximately 100 towns that will be surveyed.
