Old Highway, which was closed to thru-traffic from Powder Horn Hill Road to Sharp Hill Road for utility work starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 18, is now open, as of 2:30 p.m.
Police planned this road closure so that the road would reopen from 2-4 p.m. for afternoon school bus drop-offs, but later sent out an email notification that “the anticipated re-closure of the road at 4 p.m. is not necessary, as the utility work has been completed.”
Police thanked commuters for their patience in the email notification.
The premeditated closure of Old Highway was originally planned for Monday, March 14, but got postponed due to rain that day.
