Snowmen All Year

Karin Brooks’ kindergarten art classes at Miller-Driscoll took time to make big snowmen for the the school’s hallways as part of a collaborative art project called Snowmen All Year 2016.

Each class was assigned two months of the year for their snowmen to represent. After discussing what their snowmen would look like for each month, the students took turns painting on the big snowmen.

Morning announcements

Students in Mary McGann’s second grade class have been doing “a great job” announcing student birthdays and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance each morning, according to the district’s Jan. 22 News from the Schools newsletter.

Dayna Miller’s second grade class will be the next group to make the school’s morning announcements.

Dress Like a Rock Star

Students and staff dressed up for Dress Like A Rock Star Day on Jan. 22, as part of Wilton Education Foundation’s fifth annual Reading Rocks! program. This year’s fund-raiser kicked off with rock concerts at Miller-Driscoll and Cider Mill on Thursday, Jan. 7.

The Reading Rocks! reading period begins Saturday, Jan. 23, and ends Sunday, Feb. 7.

Fun Fitness Night

Miller-Driscoll hosted Fun Fitness Night, a night of fun and games for all pre-registered students, Jan. 26-28, and pre-schoolers had a Fun Fitness Day with Coach Ken on Jan. 28 during regular class time.
