On Nov. 25 around 10 a.m., a wanted Weston man turned himself in to Wilton police on an arrest warrant stemming from a car accident in which he fled the scene.
According to police, the wanted man, Ryan Harrison Trepp, 18, of 44 White Birch Road, Weston, was involved in a two-car accident on Aug. 11 of this year, when, driving southbound down Danbury Road, he merged without warning and sideswiped another car in the other southbound lane.
Trepp kept driving, police said, but the driver of the car he hit was able to record the registration number of Trepp’s 2006 Lexus, which enabled police to later identify him.
Wilton police processed Trepp and charged him with evading responsibility and failure to drive in the proper lane. They released him on a promise to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Nov. 27.
