Goddard School anniversary event
On Nov. 14, Wilton’s Goddard School celebrated its one-year anniversary with special events for staff, students, their families and prospective enrollees. Musician Marcia Lewis played live as children enjoyed face painting and appearances from Cookie Monster as well as the tooth fairy, who taught onlookers how to properly care for their teeth. The Wilton Fire Department provided a fire truck kids were able to climb onto, pressing buttons and inspecting the hardware. The school’s smart board offered interactive learning activities and arts and crafts took place in several classrooms. ‘We’re absolutely going to do this again as a yearly event,’ said school owner Debbie Lee, in center above, with toddler teacher Stephanie Orgovan, left, and school director Jessica Sturgeon. The school opened its doors on Nov. 3, 2014.
