Kevin Wall presented Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps President Wendy Fratino with a $5,000 check from the Arthur J. Wall Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund on Sept. 29.
“The Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps was selected as our 2015 Community Outreach Recipient and we are thrilled to be able to make a donation which will offset the cost of purchasing new equipment,” Wall said. “Our Community Outreach Program is a direct result of the success of our annual golf outing and it gives me great pleasure to award WVAC this check on behalf of the friends, businesses and golfers who support our golf outing each year.”
Fratino was grateful, saying, “We can’t thank the Art Wall Scholarship Fund for the generosity they showed in selecting us. A large percentage of our funding comes from private donations and only a fraction of our operations are covered from town payments. This donation will help us tremendously.”
Since 1999, the Arthur J. Wall Scholarship Fund has awarded more than $110,000 in scholarships to graduating Wilton High School seniors and $20,000 to local 501 (c)(3) organizations. Information: ajwallfund.org.
