Trackside Teen Center, 15 Station Road.

Trackside Teen Center, 15 Station Road.

The new school year is upon us and Trackside is ready to help make it a great year for teens in Wilton. The teen center is here to provide a variety of opportunities for students to enjoy their free time in a safe, healthy, and fun environment. Students in grades 6 through 12 are invited to make Trackside their home away from home while they participate in clubs, join one or more of our new classes, attend our special Friday night events, or use our facilities to unwind at the end of the day.

During our drop-in hours, students are invited to hang out at Trackside to play games, watch movies, study in our conference room, and grab a snack at the Snackside Café. Drop-in hours are from 3 to 6 on Mondays through Thursdays and 3 to 7 on Fridays. Whether you’re hanging out with friends or flying solo, Trackside has something for you.

Our new classes and workshops are available for all students in grades 6 through 12 looking for unique opportunities to learn fun new skills.

  • Prepare special desserts with a professional chef in our Desserts Basics Class on Wednesdays, Sept. 16 to Oct. 21 from 3:30 to 5:30; class fee $300.
  • Learn to knit for yourself or someone you love in our new Knitting Class on Wednesdays, Sept. 16 to Oct. 21 from 5 to 6; class fee $130.
  • Perform musical numbers like a Broadway star in our Musical Theater Class on Thursdays, Sept. 17 to Nov. 12 from 4 to 5; class fee $125.
  • Learn the techniques used by professional actors in our Acting Class on Mondays, Sept. 21 to Nov. 16 from 5 to 6; class fee $90.

For those looking to succeed in school, Trackside will be hosting the S4 Study Skills workshop series this fall. Learn practical skills and tools to study, organize, manage time, prepare for tests and use executive functioning strategies. S4 Workshops for middle school students will be held on Thursdays from Oct. 8 to Nov. 5 from 3:30 to 5, and high school workshops will meet on Sundays from Oct. 18 to Nov. 1 from 3 to 5:30. The S4 High School and Beyond Workshop is open to students in grades 8 through 12 and will meet on Sundays from Nov. 8 to 22 from 3 to 5:30.

Make new friends and pursue your interests when you join one of our free clubs. Crafts for Shelter Pets, Broadway Club, Gamer Club, and Film Club meet once a week right here at Trackside. Special events take place every Friday at Trackside. From dances to parties, movie nights and game tournaments, you won’t want to miss the fun.

For more information on all of our clubs, classes, and events, visit Trackside.org and follow us on Facebook.com/trackside. To register for one or more of our classes, go to Trackside.org/programs or contact Amy Nassef at Amy@trackside.org or call (203) 834-2888.
