Blue Buffalo supports kids

William Bishop, founder of Blue Buffalo, joins Mark Ketley, executive director of Trackside, at the teen center. Blue Buffalo, a pet food company headquartered in Wilton, has donated $10,000 to Trackside, which offers a drug- and alcohol-free environment for Wilton teens.  Ketley said the money will be used to help keep the center open daily after school for students to drop in to have a snack at the center’s café, play some video games, do homework, listen to music, or shoot some pool. The center also offers numerous programs after school that include cooking classes, study skills, knitting, musical theater and acting classes. During school hours, the center hosts numerous Wilton nonprofit organizations for their monthly meetings. ‘We are so grateful to the Bishop family, and Blue Buffalo for their tremendous support,’ Ketley said. ‘A donation such as this will go a long way towards our mission of providing a great facility to our teens in Wilton.’ Information: trackside.org.
