The Music on the Hill Summer Sings series is underway on Tuesday evenings in August, offering singers of all backgrounds the chance to sight-read a choral classic with fellow music-lovers.

Each Summer Sing features a different work from the classical choral repertoire and a different conductor.

Summer Sings will take place each Tuesday, through Aug. 25, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Wilton Presbyterian Church, 48 New Canaan Road.

The coming weeks will feature Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass with conductor Carolina Flores on Aug. 11, Mozart’s Requiem with conductor David Recca on Aug. 18, and Music on the Hill artistic director David H. Connell leading the Aug. 25 session, with the musical selection to be announced.

All singers are welcome — members of church and community choirs, high school singers, adults wanting to return to singing or to dip into the choral classics.

No advance registration is required, and scores will be provided. There is no charge although donations are welcome.

Music on the Hill’s fall calendar begins with a September Soirée fund-raiser on Sept. 18 at the Wilton Episcopal-Presbyterian Complex. Information: info@musiconthehillCT.org or 203-529-3133.
