Bricks 4 Kidz Camp introduces children to basic concepts of mechanics, engineering, and architecture by using LEGO bricks. Campers design and construct machines, buildings, and other models. Lessons from math, science, language arts, and social studies are integrated as well. Camp takes place July 6-10 at Trackside from 9 to noon and 12:30 to 3:30. The resident fees for a full- and half-day are $450 and $250, respectively.
IST Sports Headquarters NFL Experience Camp is new for children entering first through seventh grade. Current collegiate and former NFL players will lead a non-contact program for football. The program covers basic football skills such as speed training and position-specific drills in a safe, fun environment. The camp takes place Aug. 3-7 at the high school athletic complex from 9 to noon. The resident fee is $225.
First Play Soccer Camp is for children ages 5-11. Daily themes and soccer challenges are incorporated into the curriculum. Internationally qualified coaches from the US Sports Institute staff conduct the camp, which takes place July 27-31 at Lilly Field from 9 to 4. The resident fee is $189
Absolute Body Conditioning Camp is an outdoor total body conditioning class led by instructor Bonnie Sheehan. Participants should be able to run for 10 minutes at a consistent pace. The main objective is to utilize functional movement patterns to progress fitness and athletic goals. Dress should be weather appropriate and a mat and water are necessary. The class takes place on Wednesdays, June 22-July 27 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Wilton track. The resident fee is $145.
